Westminster Council is at the start of a hugely exciting digital and innovation transformation. To help with this massive change, we’re exclusively working with them to help hire 3 Senior Product Managers.

The client

What are they doing?

Westminster Council is moving away from traditional IT teams and is now pivoting to digital teams and product ways of working and thinking. They’re shifting to an increased focus on users and focusing on outcomes for their users, residents, and staff – they’re working together to adapt to the changing needs of the community.

This is a truly exciting time to join a mission-driven organisation and put your mark on things, they’re at the very beginning of their journey so it’s a chance to start something from scratch and pave the way for the future of this council.

The role

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a team whose aim is to create an impactful change and improve outcomes for residents, businesses, visitors, and staff. You’ll have a key part in creating a product vision, strategy, and roadmap that will aid Westminster in its digital transformation.

You’ll report to the Lead Product Manager as well as line manage other Product Managers and an Apprentice – this is a chance to foster a user-centred and product approach within the team and drive a change in the culture of the organisation.

The candidate

The Candidate

You’ll need to be able to think all things product and know how to apply it;

  • Understand product methodology, frameworks, and principles.
  • Knowledge of modern technology, including cloud technology, architecture, agile delivery methods, and software practices.
  • Understand how to define and create a strategy, set objectives, and define measurable outcomes – the full product roadmap!
  • Successful track record of line managing multidisciplinary teams, providing coaching and mentoring to people more junior than you.
  • Be intensely user-focused and embody a product mindset.
  • Passionate about tech for good with a desire to work in public to solve complex problems.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be joining somewhere that has a culture of transparency, openness, and integrity – it’s a chance to take a leap and develop your career.

They value everyone’s opinions and embrace what makes people different from one another.

Base Salary: Up to £61,000 + generous pension.

WFH Policy: 1 day a week in their London office.
