John Lewis Partnership
Or call Ben Clarfelt
Zebra People have been exclusively retained to support John Lewis & Partners on their vast hiring plans on what’s set to be one of the largest retail digital transformations in the UK at the moment.
If you’re an experienced UX Designer and want to be a part of this then apply below.
Extremely exciting time to join them as they undertake a new ‘Partnership Plan’ which will see the expansion of digital, virtual and delivery services to get close to customers, reaching a profit of £400m by year 5.
They have a pledge to recruit young people coming out of the care system and have major commitments on cutting waste and net-zero carbon.
Being a Partnership for positive change, JLP is improving lives and building a more sustainable future. John Lewis is now a 60% online retailer and Waitrose has upped its online capacity for delivery to over 190,000 weekly slots.
You are a very skilled and experienced end-to-end Experience Designer who has a portfolio to prove it.
You can demonstrate working from discovery stage to finished product, with a clearly defined process for each stage in between.
You have a great eye for detail, are confident in your service design expertise and are able to communicate clearly and translate ideas to stakeholders and team members alike. Importantly, you know when a sketch is sufficient and a high fidelity prototype is overkill.
In fact, you have a canny grasp on ‘working lean’ so that you create just enough to validate your work and get you to the next stage, continually checking in to ensure you are never wasting time or effort, but relentlessly delivering actionable insight.
This role requires a talented people-person who can work within cross-functional teams and demonstrate experience of both designing and delivering products that span multiple touchpoints, at pace and using Lean, Agile and user-centred design methodologies. You can inspire and motivate and get a kick out of bringing stakeholders and colleagues together to co-create greatness – exploring and defining what will delight the customer and achieve commercial success in equal measure.
You’ll be a champion and ambassador for the customer experience for our digital and offline touchpoints across the entire business. Finally, you’ll savour the knowledge of knowing that you’ve positively influenced the design of a compelling suite of customer-loving products.
Through your Profession you will have the opportunity to develop and stretch personally and professionally to achieve your potential.
Qualifications or extensive professional experience of digital design, design / prototyping tools
Relevant commercial and responsive design, agile processes and project management experience
Can demonstrate a strong portfolio of design leadership work, and a track record of delivering both creative design excellence and evidence of commercial results achieved.
DESIRABLE; Qualifications or professional experience of behavioural psychology, marketing or business.
This is a hybrid working role offering a flexible working from home and office balance. Currently the position is fully remote.
We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes parents, the self-taught, the university-educated, and people of a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Obviously, we’re looking to ensure it’s a solid fit from both sides: we want you to step into a role you love, and we want to offer you a place you’re proud to come to every day for work.
We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply to be part of life at Zebra People. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates. We would be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, please just let us know.
Let's work together to find the right people, fast.
We'll partner with you to find a company you can grow with.
