We are working with an experience design agency that works with many global brands on improving the digital experience for their users. They are now looking for a Midweight User Researcher to join their growing UX team.

The client

They specialise in eCommerce, understanding the needs of their client’s customers, and meeting those needs to create a good functional experience for their users.

They are building a strong reputation for strategic design engagements with their clients, guided by design thinking, and enabled by a strong, passionate team of experts across research, UX and UI design.

The role

You’ll be working on one of their biggest accounts which is a global sportswear brand within a central User Research client team and given responsibility for a product area. You’ll be working closely with stakeholders within that product team daily, becoming truly integrated as a trusted user research partner, shaping the roadmap, and executing key research projects to drive the product forward.

Your role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Work collaboratively within project teams, including specialists across UX, design, and data, to identify and solve customer experience opportunities for their clients.
  • Write up research outcomes to clearly communicate insights uncovered and the value they can add to the client’s business and confidently present this in face-to-face debriefs and workshops.
  • Own research activities, representing the voice and mindset of the customer, from the approach through to interpretation of insights and output recommendations.
  • Define and run a variety of research methods for their biggest client, including user interviews, evaluative usability testing, moderated and unmoderated studies, surveys/polls, heuristic reviews, and competitor analyses. 

The candidate

The Candidate

  • Experience planning and running both generative and evaluative research activity, including both moderated and unmoderated user interviews and testing.
  • Solid experience in a commercial User Research role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues across the business.
  • Strong grounding in UX principles and research methodologies.
  • Ability to infer behavioural insights from both quantitative and qualitative data, generating hypotheses and opportunities for experience design and innovation.
