Westminster Council are a mission-driven organisation and they’re currently driving a huge Digital and Innovation initiative - they’re now looking for a Content Designer to join them!

The client

What are they doing?

They’re changing things for the better, whether that involves an improved focus on openness and transparency, or fixing current fragmented services to ensure a seamless experience across all channels.

They’ve just hired a Head of Product who comes with extensive experience within Gov. so it’s a particularly exciting time to join and really put your mark on things. They’re at the beginning of their journey, designing from the ground up and looking at what problems really need solving.

The role

As their Content Designer, you’d be an integral part of a design team who’s mission is genuinely to put residents first.

The team currently consists of 3 UX Designers but the missing piece of the puzzle is someone who can facilitate the Content side of things.

Your role here will be focused around creating and iterating content for the council’s most vulnerable residents, to meet policy intent from discovery to production.

The candidate

You’ve previously held a position as a Content Designer, in particular having worked in an Agile cross-functional team
You’re a strong communicator and you’re easily able to build relationships with the people you work with
You have previous GDS/Public sector experience

Base salary: Up to £41,000 + generous pension

WFH Policy: 1-2 days a week in their London office (most of the team do 2)
