The Role
As a Principle Product Designer, you’ll contribute to the quality and efficiency of UX Research, UX Design and UI activities across a suite of SaaS products. You’ll work alongside other Principle Designers and report to the Director of Product Design, so there is some excellent collaboration and support around you. You’ll also have lots of exposure to the wider business and help to support the growth of the company’s UX maturity and help evolve the design language and philosophy internally.
Additionally, your role will ensure you’re nurturing the growth of Senior, Mid Level and Junior UX Designers through mentoring, coaching and critique.
o Align cross-team design activities, influencing product roadmaps to deliver results and learnings
o Provide high-level direction, work requirements and critique for other designers alongside your own hands-on contributions to UX and UI
o Lead and support remote design activities (design sprints/workshops/story mapping…)
o Define and maintain principles and standards that bring UX consistency to all platforms and products
o Contribute to and expand an evolving design system for pixel-perfect delivery and hand-off to engineers
o Strategically position narratives within the wider business to ensure best-practice design
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
Previous role as a principal/lead
Designing SaaS software products
Mentoring other designers
Proven skills in user research, ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows, information architecture, and UI design (working from a design system)
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Interview process:
1) 30mins with TA
2) 1-hour manager, 2-way conversation to establish suitability and cultural fit for both parties
3) task based on a previous project, presenting to the Hiring manager, product manager, and another designer.
