Are you passionate about building innovative backend solutions for the energy sector in a consultancy environment? Want to play a key role in developing cutting-edge applications for a diverse client base, where you'll tackle complex data optimisation challenges and create impactful products with a focus on robust backend systems?
A bit about them?
A growing tech consultancy in Stockholm, specialising in software solutions for the energy sector. They partner with both established industry leaders and innovative startups, focusing on data-driven applications that promote sustainability.
The company culture emphasises collaboration, continuous learning, and making a positive impact in the green tech space. They’re seeking motivated individuals who can drive technical discussions and align with their mission to create meaningful solutions in the energy sector.
With a current team of about 45 and plans for significant growth, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of energy tech innovation in a rapidly expanding organization.
What you’d be doing?
You’ll typically work in agile teams of 5-6 people, sometimes scaling up for larger projects. You might spearhead new initiatives, assessing client needs and building your team from within the company.
Your work will involve developing sophisticated data infrastructure, implementing machine learning components, and creating robust APIs. You’ll use a modern tech stack including cloud services, containerisation, and message brokers. Key technologies you’ll work with include Python, Django, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Airflow, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend systems, optimising performance, and ensuring data integrity and security.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll join a dynamic team of software engineers and data scientists, specialising in custom product development for the energy industry. Your role will primarily focus on backend development, allowing you to dive deep into complex systems and data infrastructure.
Enjoy a flexible hybrid work model, balancing time between client offices, your company’s headquarters in Stockholm, and remote work. This varied approach allows you to immerse yourself in client environments, collaborate closely with your team, and maintain productivity from home when needed. You’ll engage in projects of various scales, collaborating with cross-functional teams and interfacing directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions.
You’ll get a competitive salary offering up to 70,000 SEK per month (depending on your experience). They are committed to professional growth, with plans to offer clear paths to leadership roles as the company expands. With ambitious growth plans, there’s potential for advancement to senior technical positions in the future. On top of this you’ll get 30 days vacation, a health and wellness allowance (friskvård) and private pension contribution.
About you?
You have at least 4 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python and frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
You’re passionate about clean, efficient code and stay current with emerging technologies. Adaptability is key, as you’ll work across various domains and tech stacks.
You’d have experience with DevOps practices (like Kubernetes, Docker, Git), cloud platforms (like AWS/Azure), and familiarity with data processing and machine learning tools. Leadership experience and strong communication skills would also be good here, as you’ll be able to mentor team members and interface with clients whilst contributing to the evolution of backend development practices within the team.
Consultant-style experience is beneficial, as client interaction is a significant part of the role and fluency in both Swedish and English is a must for effective client communication.
