Delivery Lead position within the Financial Services team for this UX-focussed consultancy, with offices in London & Bristol.
The client
This consultancy has been built upon a focus on UX/CX transformation for their clients, through innovative digital services and focussing on customers’ needs. As a result, they have a large, high-calibre internal team with offices located in both London and Bristol.
They have a remote-first working policy but you may be required to attend client offices as well as their own, for meetings and workshops when needed.
In this team for the consultancy, the aim is to help Financial Services (FS) firms thrive by making products and services that are easy to understand and use, so their customers can make better decisions. The FS team is obsessed with learning how people make complex decisions, then putting that learning into practice.
This could include something like an investment platform provider needing a new journey for clients drawing down on their pension, to a large banking service provider looking to create a digital debt collection service that considers the needs of those in vulnerable situations.

The role
As a Delivery Lead in an experience design business, you will be at the heart of everything they do to deliver meaningful, quality work to your clients. You’ll work collaboratively in a cross-functional team with UX consultants, service designers, visual designers, technologists and clients to help solve the biggest challenges in society.
Your role will be to manage their large programmes of work, ensuring an excellent client experience and a smooth delivery process. This can involve setting the foundations for the programme of work, overseeing multiple workstreams, and establishing Agile practices within client organisations.
You will:
- Be a key contributor to the sale – specifically scoping, shaping the delivery approach and consulting with the client.
- Lead on contract creation and negotiation, with the support of their specialist contracts and legal team.
- Lead on establishing the right team structure, workflow and cadence.
- Be a key contributor to developing the account, including identifying and progressing opportunities alongside their UX Lead.
- Build up strong relationships with the client. Regularly present progress to design teams and senior stakeholders.
- Manage the overall programme delivery; this often involves having oversight of multiple workstreams.
- Work alongside the UX Lead to embed design practices within client organisations.
The candidate
- Detailed knowledge and practical experience of delivery / programme management.
- Experience working in experience design organisations, or working as part of an in-house team.
- Strong communication skills and a level of natural authority to ensure clients listen to you, and people respond to you.
- Emotional intelligence and an understanding of how to build productive, collaborative multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with agile methodologies – in particular how to establish and scale these in client organisations.
- Experience working in small, cross-disciplinary design sprint teams.
- Have an interest in financial services.
