We’re looking for a Service Designer to join a growing design practice within a well-established agency. You’ll be delivering on projects within a well established Service Design team with plenty of opportunity to shape the work and influence how service design is delivered.
The client
My client is a leading service design consultancy, working with organisations to redesign services around real human needs. They partner with clients across public services, healthcare, financial services and retail, helping them tackle complex problems, improve end to end experiences and build services that are practical, inclusive and sustainable.
They’re known for a highly collaborative culture and strong service design craft, working closely with clients to bring clarity to ambiguous challenges and turn insight into action.
The role
You’ll work on a range of service design projects across different sectors, supporting clients to improve and redesign services end to end.
The work isn’t always clearly defined upfront, so you’ll help bring structure, clarity and momentum to complex problems. You’ll deliver core service design activities including research, journey mapping, service blueprints and identifying opportunities to improve how services work.
You’ll also handle some light project admin, including timesheets and budgets, to help keep projects on track.
As the practice grows, there’s clear scope for career development, supported by structured training, hands on mentoring from senior leaders and exposure to a wide range of projects, from improving public services to designing new operating models for major financial institutions. There are also future opportunities to collaborate with global teams.
The candidate
You’ll have at least two years of dedicated service design experience and a portfolio that clearly demonstrates your service design thinking, including examples of service blueprints and end to end journeys.
You’ll be business minded, comfortable working in ambiguity and able to see the bigger picture to help shape outcomes for clients.
If you want this shortened further or made a bit punchier for the top of the ad, I can tighten it again.
