Offering 100% remote work and picking up momentum, media attention and public awareness, our client is looking to tackle the problem of workplace misconduct.
They’ve created an app that allows employees to report through to the end user (nominally a member of HR), who is able to view complaints through a SaaS platform. This allows them to use data analytics to pinpoint where the problem is and how they can address it.
Following their successful Series A funding last year they’re looking for a Lead Developer to join them and head up a team of five engineers. They’re looking for someone who’s happy to be hands on coaching and mentoring engineers – it’s not a problem if you’ve not line managed before though. They can help you get up to speed here.
You will still be close to the code, with them imagining it’ll be a 50/50 split between engineering, architecting and infrastructure, then the other half spent coaching and improving the team. They’re really keen for you to have a big input into the processes they intro there.
Their stack is sleek, modern, and JavaScript based. All built on AWS, they work with Node on the backend, plus TypeScript and React/Redux on the front. React Native is used for their mobile application. They’ve recently bought on their first DevOps hire as well who’s going to be building out a lot of their infrastructure with Kubernetes and Terraform.

This is a great opportunity to join a company that has a clear plan of growth, who also offer a very competitive salary. They’re thinking up to £95K, though happy to consider people who’re exceptional above that. On top of that is a 20% bonus that’s not failed to pay out in the three years I’ve been working with them, as well as stock options. Remote working went well for them during lockdown so that’s something they’ve now introduced as a policy. A lot of the team are based in London and like to get together every now and then if that’s your thing, though there really is no pressure to do so.
We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes parents, the self-taught, the university-educated, and people of a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Obviously, we’re looking to ensure it’s a solid fit from both sides: we want you to step into a role you love, and we want to offer you a place you’re proud to come to every day for work.
We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply to be part of life at Zebra People. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates. We would be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, please just let us know.
Let's work together to find the right people, fast.
