Foundational opportunity with a bank who are redefining what it feels like to work in finance.

The client

This challenger bank has become one of the UK’s most loved places to work. They’ve been able to to carve out a reputable name within the market and have redefined what it feels like to work in finance. They strive for innovation and aim to provide the most honest and beneficial financial products in the market, with customers truly at the heart of their decision making.

The role would require you into a London office twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with potential for Wednesdays to be a required day in the office too, moving forward.

The role

With an upcoming current account launch and a broader shift towards high-frequency app engagement, they’re looking for a Head of Brand Design & Creative to shape and elevate the brand’s visual identity across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Lead and evolve the brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and customer journeys.

  • Partner with experience design, product and marketing teams to build a distinctive and cohesive design system across app, web, CRM and social platforms.

  • Direct internal and external teams (including agencies) to deliver high-impact creative campaigns and performance assets at scale.

  • Integrate creativity into digital product experiences, collaborating closely with UI/UX and product teams.

  • Help align visual and verbal identity through close collaboration with copywriters and brand strategists.

The candidate

  • A strategic and hands-on design leader with a strong graphic design foundation and experience across multiple formats and platforms.

  • Adept at working within product-led organisations (ideally digital-first or fintech) and familiar with the dynamics of fast-paced environments.

  • Skilled with tools like Figma and Adobe Suite, and up to date with accessibility best practices and emerging technologies like AI in design workflows.

  • Able to lead and inspire teams, provide creative direction, and also deliver high-quality assets when needed.

  • Comfortable balancing brand-building creativity with performance-driven design.

  • Ideally you’ll have a mix of agency and in-house background.

  • Must be able to show a portfolio of contemporary design and B2C brands.
