Based in Shoreditch, though offering the chance to work remotely 70% of the time post-Covid, this technology first company are looking for experienced JavaScript Engineers to join their expanding team.
Their product allows people to unlock their family history, which has become a multi-billion high growth market. They’re building a host of new products and introducing new technology to enable people to really explore their history.
They’ve come a long way from the early days of digitising historical records to where they are now; a fast-growing, consumer subscription tech company with millions of users, and billions of online historical records.
They work in cross-functional, collaborative teams that really care about the quality of their code, with an emphasis put on testing as well deploying to production multiple times a day.
Their core programming language is JavaScript with their website running React and GraphQL, while their backend platform is a collection of Node microservices running under Kubernetes. Depending on the team you join, there may be also be the chance to work with C# and Elixir. No biggy if you’ve not worked across the stack before – they’re happy to chat to people who’ve focussed solely on the frontend or vice versa. Attitude is just as important as ticking boxes here.
