Do you have a passion for music and software engineering?
Prior leadership experience isn’t a necessity here, though they do need someone who has mentored engineers in the past. The team you join currently has 4 backend engineers, plus both a UX and a UI developer.
They’re looking for you to have a very active role in operating the cloud infrastructure and deploying new software using DevOps processes and tools, whilst also contributing to best practices among the wider team by facilitating collaboration, and mentoring and motivating.
There is the opportunity to specify and implement new features as well as take the lead on recommending and introducing tools that you believe will be of value.
What experience do I need?
You’ll have excellent communication skills and prior experience of working in a cross-functional team. Experience of working in a start-up or scale-up would be a huge bonus, ideally having done so in a collaborative team. They’re huge on collaboration here!
Ideally you’ll also have worked through and resolved ambiguities in scope and technical solutions, as well as having devised detailed technical solutions from business and product requirements.
You’ll also need experience with most of the following stack:
Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, Terraform, Packer, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services.
As well as a salary of up to £85K, they offer 25 days holiday and would be looking for you to come into the office twice a week.
What’s the process?
It’s three stages – an initial welcome call to find a little more out about them and for them to find out a little more about you. They’ll then progress to a technical test before a more in-depth technical interview, hopefully followed by an offer!
If you’re keen to discuss in more detail please reach out to mitch@zebrapeople.com.
