End-to-end (User Research through to UI) Product Designer needed to work as the sole designer within a close knit B2B SaaS start-up.

The client

This client is big on culture and has worked hard to get their foundations set up, finding the right product concept fit and progressively building it into a reality.

The platform is based on real-time data within the world of HR. All types of organisations are able to subscribe to it and use the insights to cut through the fluff and provide the best impact for their staff as a result.

They’re big on team socials, provide 31 days holiday per year (on top of bank hols) and there’s also potential for equity after 12 months.

Their current Product Designer is moving abroad, so they need a new one to come in and be their go-to for all things digital design.

For this one, you’ll need to be based in London and able to come into their office at least twice a week (Wed & Thurs).

The role

You’ll play an instrumental role in shaping the future of this platform.

Key responsibilities include…

Conducting research (both desktop and user) and presenting your thoughts and findings back to the team
Create wireframes and prototypes for lo and hi fidelity designs in order to test and communicate designs
Participate in all team ceremonies to ensure design presence throughout the development lifecycle
Work in constant collaboration with PMs and Engineers to there are no blockers to development
Update and maintain the design system

The candidate

Looking for a strong team-player and communicator for this one – on top of your abilities as an end-to-end Product Designer.

Aside from the usual deliverables expected from a Product Designer (research, wireframes, prototypes etc – using Figma), the below experience is essential for this role also…

Previous/recent experience working for a start-up
Previous/recent experience working on B2B SaaS projects
Able to come into the office twice a week (Wed & Thurs)
Comfortable working as the sole designer

Interview Process:

Technical Interview
Technical Challenge: A practical design task to demonstrate your skills.
Cultural Interview: An informal chat with some of the team.
Creative Presentation: A 15-minute presentation on an assigned topic to showcase your creativity.
