Our client is seeking an English and French speaking Testing Manager to oversee the testing strategy for their department and oversee the coordination of the environments management.
The IS Testing Manager will coordinate various teams, track progress, manage risks related to his/her perimeter, and resolve conflicts to ensure successful product releases. The ideal candidate is familiar with testing methodologies and environment management, is an expert at problem-solving, and has a strong understanding of software development cycles.
Ultimately, the role of the IS Testing Manager is to ensure that our software and applications are delivered to customers with high quality and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
1. Define and implement the testing strategy for the overall departement and ensure
it is approved by the business and technical teams.
2. Coordinate and oversee all testing activities, including system, integration, and
user acceptance testing.
3. Define, document and manage the end-to-end release and testing process,
including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases
4. Manage and monitor progress of software releases from inception to delivery.
5. Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect tracking.
6. Ensure that testing activities comply with established quality standards and best
practices.
7. Identify and mitigate risks related to testing processes.
8. Lead test automation efforts and promote the use of testing tools and
frameworks
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
2. Proven experience in software testing and complex integration projects (multi
environments, multi suppliers, multi systems)
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Familiarity with environments management (CI/CD tools and Agile or DevOps).
6. Proven management roles will be appreciated
Key Result Areas :
• Ensure smooth and efficient testing, release processes.
• Minimize disruptions and improve overall software delivery performance.
• Enhance testing processes and mitigate risks.
• Document actual environment urbanism
• Identify missing environments
• Define testing environment processes (inc data management)
