The client

My client is a diverse team of machine learning and AI experts who use their technology to engineer and design better transport.

They tackle extremely complex problems, through great technology that make a difference in the world.

Real mix of machine learning experts that help engineers create cleaner, better vehicles by breaking down the barriers of complexity through technology and active learning.

Offer hybrid working with 1 – 2 days required in the office in Cambridge.

The role

In this role, you’ll drive efficient and predictable software delivery across multidisciplinary teams. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to optimize delivery processes, champion agile methodologies, and use data-driven insights to enhance project forecasting, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage robust delivery processes to improve efficiency and predictability.
  • Develop project and capacity plans, sprint forecasts, and three-month release plans.
  • Champion agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) while optimizing delivery workflows.
  • Track and report on delivery metrics, project progress, and team performance using Jira.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Finance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The candidate

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience as a Software Delivery Manager or similar in tech environments.
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Expertise in project management tools, particularly Jira.
  • Confident managing project plans, capacity, timelines, and risk.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset — able to define and track key delivery metrics.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 Agile) preferred.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in machine learning or AI-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with process improvement frameworks and technical requirements gathering.
