Mentoring Software
Or call Jake Tindell
This company are an award winning, mission focussed organisation. Their core belief is that every person should equal power and opportunity to shape their future, regardless of their background.
Their product works with over 40 employee partners, and last year supported more than 40,000 people from disadvantaged backgrounds in taking their next career steps.
This is done by a human centric approach; helping companies turn D&I strategy into reality and providing an engagement and mentoring platform that people love to use, and that shows tangible results.
Most of their team get together in their Elephant & Castle offices once a week/every couple of weeks, though if this didn’t work for you then they’re not really fussed – they want you to work in the way you feel most comfortable.
You’ll be joining a team of four frontend developers (varying from junior through to lead). They’re looking for someone who’s got the expertise to make sound technical decisions, as well as working closely with the Head of Engineering and Lead to define and maintain standards. It’s worth emphasising though that they don’t throw lots of red tape in the way – they like to move swiftly but soundly in their development. There are also plans to double this team in size, with you at the forefront of this.
Thus far they’ve released two products – one aimed at people seeking new roles (lots of learning resources for disadvantaged people seeking work), and another aimed at companies seeking to increase diversity within their teams (by use of brand ambassadors talking to people from disadvantaged backgrounds). They’re now combining these two into one SaaS platform, so there’s a ton of interesting, greenfield work to get stuck into.
When it comes to background, they’d like someone who’s got experience:
In return for the above they’re offering a salary of up to £75K, as well as 26 days holiday (plus bank hols). They’ve also got a pretty neat scheme where they cover £110 of any holiday you have, twice a year – more than enough for a return flight to Barcelona! There’s also enhanced maternity and paternity, reduced summer hours, flexible working, a wellbeing allowance, share options and volunteering days.
We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes parents, the self-taught, the university-educated, and people of a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Obviously, we’re looking to ensure it’s a solid fit from both sides: we want you to step into a role you love, and we want to offer you a place you’re proud to come to every day for work.
We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply to be part of life at Zebra People. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates. We would be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, please just let us know.
Let's work together to find the right people, fast.
We'll partner with you to find a company you can grow with.
