Senior Design Researcher required for an exciting innovation hub focused on tackling some of the most complex transportation and mobility problems out there.

The client

Business is focused on pushing things out into the future both in terms of transport & mobility.

Opportunity to work on array of Research & Development & innovation-style projects from software, hardware to digital related projects within the digital & physical space.

Projects vary from leading design research on autonomous vehicles to smart roads or energy reduction-style projects

Extraordinary Experience; Looking at how they can create differentiators for their vehicles .

The role

As Senior Design Researcher, you will report into the highly experienced Director of Design Research and be responsible for leading the team through the design research process to help uncover insights that input into all the key phases of the design & development process. Ultimately you will be the champion of Design Research.

Working in 3 key areas from

planning and inspiring through design research
experimenting and thinking creatively to solve complex design challenges across both physical and digital landscapes.
Facilitate and run co creation workshops to synthesizing research findings.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team alongside other Software Designers, Interaction Designers you will join a supportive culture with 8 other Design Researchers in the team and will report into the very experienced Director of Design Research.

The candidate

As a Senior Design Researcher, it is important you’ve got vast commercial experience in the Design Research space. The position is very much a Design Research role around ideas, innovation differentiators. You will carry out observational research, user interview to co-creation research

Salary; £50,000 – £63,000
