Lead Service Designer

This is a great opportunity to help set up a Service Design practice at a leading consultancy that works with the likes of BBC, Cabinet Office, Starling bank, and Public Health England.

The client

The Client is a leading digital software consultancy. They been delivering software solutions for a wide range of clients across various industries. They have a team of experienced designers, developers, project managers, and business analysts who work closely with clients to deliver tailored software solutions that meet their specific needs. From initial consultation and requirements gathering to development, testing, and ongoing support, our client provides end-to-end software development services that ensure clients’ success.

The role

This role will suit someone who is unafraid of working with ambiguity & thrives on painting a picture of the future that helps others see what is possible. Someone who is experienced in bringing clarity, vision, and excitement to cross-functional teams and stakeholders by using design facilitation skills to negotiate a safe environment for great collaborative design to happen.

This is a fast-expanding team within a more established agency, where you’d have the rare opportunity to follow your work across both design diamonds.

The candidate

• A Lead Service Designer with previous Government experience
• In-depth knowledge and application of design thinking methodology
• Someone who enjoys line management, or has mentoring experience
• Understanding of how to align and prioritise business needs with user needs
• · A highly strategic mindset – can negotiate the noise and leverage insights to set projects on course to deliver great services

Salary = Base Up to £82,800 + fantastic bonus scheme

WFH policy = Remote-first with client visits

Interview process (Via video or face2face)

1) 30 mins with TA

2) 1 hr – With the Head of Experience Design

3) 2 hrs – Task talk through a project you proud of with the Client Partner and Head of UX
