The client

To give you the only source you’ll ever need to find the best legal professional suited to your needs. Forget about going to family or friends for recommendations. Get recommendations from the entire country all in one simple and easy place. This guide to leading UK lawyers is now looking to hire a UX Designer to help build and craft professional customer experiences across their digital channels.

Products are split in to 3 core streams:

Enterprise: Everything they need to help the business run.

Internal Systems: CMS, Interview platform, Sales tools etc.

Digital (Split in two again):

  • Platforms/services (Payments, Subscriptions, MyAccount etc.)
  • Content (Content API’s, Feed, Search)

They have 4 separate websites under their banner but the core site links everything together.

The team set up

The Digital team is split across 4 key verticals:

  • Tech services – Developers, Engineers
  • Product / UX – Product Owners, Designers, UX etc
  • Change Delivery – Project Management, Business Analysts
  • Data – Analysts etc.

In the Digital team there are 23 people in total but some noteworthy people are:

  • CTO
  • Product Management Director
  • Head of Product
  • 12 Engineers
  • 1 UX/UI Hybrid
  • … and a few others you’ll no doubt meet!

The role

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and develop improvements to key user journeys and touch points
  • Working closely with Product and Engineering teams
  • Map user journeys, produce concepts, layouts, wireframes and prototypes
  • Lead on workshops with stakeholders and users
  • Build responsive prototypes across all platforms
  • Champion a test and learn approach, identifying opportunities to concept, usability and MVT
  • Be the User and Business advocate

The candidate

Technical Skills

3-5 years’ experience in UX (agency or client-side)

Strong communication skills

Analytical – ability to look at analytics and trends in the industry to create experiences

Ability to use Sketch, Invision, Figma, Axure or other interative prototyping tools

Publishing experience is desirable but not essential

Soft Skills

B2B & B2C experience

Strong stakeholder management skills (i.e. able to push back on difficult stakeholders)

UCD approach

Proven ability to interrogate customer analytics, data sets and KPI’s to inform UX decisions.

Flexible to changing business requirements



Accessible is the name of the game here. Everyone is available to speak to no matter their seniority, operating in a very flat structure.


They’re also pretty relaxed but aim to work as if they’re a fast-paced start-up.


Not to mention their core hours are 10-4 and you can choose to have a late/early start!
