Software Developer in Test

SaaS start-up

Do you want to work for a company who are at the forefront of every successful company’s agenda?

The client

A fast growing SaaS platform, this remote-first company builds ethics and compliance technology for every workplace. Their product empowers people to report misconduct and resolve some of the biggest problems that people can face in their career, such as harassment, discrimination and fraud. They’re looking to change work culture, for good.

Having recently secured Series A funding they’re looking for a Software Developer in Test to join them and become a vital member of their engineering team; creating, developing and maintaining automated and manual test suites across both their web and mobile applications, as well as support their CI/CD best practices within an agile development environment. They’d also be keen for you to take an active role in architectural and technical decision making.

The role

What kind of background will you have?

  • Ideally at least three years’ experience in an Automation role, where you’d have created and maintained test suites across web and mobile.
  • Their stack is completely JavaScript based (React Native, React, TypeScript, Node) so you’ll have experience here. They’re not expecting you to know every framework/language inside out.
  • A strong experience in test management and automation tools – you’ll be working with Cypress but they’re happy to look at people who come from a Postman background as well.
  • Jest and Mocha experience would be a bonus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.

The candidate

This is a great opportunity to join a company that has a clear plan of growth, who also offer a very competitive salary (they’re thinking up to £75K, though happy to flex for the ideal person) as well as stock options and a very attractive bonus scheme. Remote working went well for them during lockdown so that’s something they’ve recently introduced. There’s a Deliveroo allowance for the team as well as the standard tea, coffee, fruit and free snacks.

We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes parents, the self-taught, the university-educated, and people of a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply to be part of life at Zebra People. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates. We would be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, please just let us know.
