Senior UX Designer

They are looking for someone that is confident in their proven UX expertise. A self-starter that can communicate clearly, translate ideas, and prototype to validate their work. Someone that is able to lead from the front and impart knowledge and inspire others.

The client

I am currently working with one of the UK’s leading youth-focused charities. They are now looking to make a pivotal hire for their first in-house Senior UX person that will stand alongside their Chief Digital Officer. Not only championing UCD across their business but being passionate about your work and their cause whilst working in an exciting and evolving digital team that has tripled in size in just over a year.

They are looking for someone that is confident in their proven UX expertise. A self-starter that can communicate clearly, translate ideas, and prototype to validate their work. Someone that is able to lead from the front and impart knowledge and inspire others.

The role

• Champion their digital principles and ensure users are at the center of all of our work.

• Translate user requirements into strategic experience design documents such as customer

journeys and ecosystem architectures.

• Oversee research and insight projects to further understand our user need and impact.

• Lead requirements gathering workshops with internal and external stakeholders.

• Make a positive contribution to the team and receive positive feedback.

• Define and uphold UX and design standards, guidelines, and best practices

• Help colleagues around the organisation to understand more about UX design practices by modeling and coaching others to enable them to use some of these methods as part of their work

The candidate

 

• Demonstrable experience in using UX design principles and methodologies and user-centered design across a range of projects.

•Demonstrable experience in leading user research projects, including face to face research, remote and online tools, and analysis

• Knowledge and experience of UX tools and processes, including journey mapping, information

architecture and user testing.

• Broad experience and deep knowledge of industry-leading prototyping tools.

• Ability to understand user issues and to be able to represent the complexity of them in clear terms through UX methodology

• Ability to lead a workshop or a team of people to deliver tangible outputs

• Fearless, boundlessly creative, and relentlessly attentive to detail.
