Senior UX Designer

British heritage media brand

Our client is seeking a Senior UX contractor for a well-known trusted British heritage media brand, focusing on their Commerce platform.

The project:

  • Working closely with a Senior Researcher and one or more cross-functional product teams
  • Improving the awareness, understanding and interest in supporter products/ services
  • Focussing on our Commerce platform initially, you will help the Conversion, Retention and Optimisation team with flows from consideration to purchase
  • You will build on initial external recommendations and find quick wins that drive revenue fast

The position:

  • You will shape services alongside research, design, business and engineering
  • You will adapt to evolving user needs, business requirements and market trends
  • You will articulate ideas, concepts and processes
  • You will help teams simplify the presentation of our products and services
  • You will help encourage a human-centred approach

Ideal profile:

  • Experience working with e-commerce or payment flows
  • You have several years of practical experience in user experience design
  • Able to demonstrate the business value of user-centred design through your work
  • You are comfortable with discovery and delivery phases
  • You can adapt your process and delivery methods
  • Previous experience with identifying problems, present opportunities and test solutions
  • You are able to source and analyse quantitative data and qualitative research
  • You explore the needs of users across a variety of channels
  • You show your working with clear communication and documentation
  • Establish collaborative problem solving with large audiences
  • Able to explain design decisions and welcome constructive criticism
  • Previous stakeholder experience is essential
  • Experience in utilising agile practices

Up to £550pd – Inside IR35 – Hybrid Working – London
