Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This role is for a London Bridge based Fintech company, who are looking for two Site Reliability Engineers to join their team.

The client

As a peer-to-peer lending company, their product allows users to access simpler and better value loans and investments. After plenty of growth, investment and success, they recently built their own bank from scratch to allow them to bring a greater range of smart finance products to the market.

The team you’d be joining is responsible for evolving the infrastructure platforms to be drivable by development tribes so that they can be more autonomous and agile, replacing tickets with APIs, designing properly reliable services whilst also supporting the security processes that are required in an FCA audited environment.

You would be automating infrastructure deployment to their multi cloud environment with terraform, improving their application release processes and pipelines, upgrading their container platforms to the latest version of Kubernetes and utilising the latest features, and designing processes and tools that help their developers to take more control of their products and the infrastructure they need.

The role

What they’re looking for:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years SRE experience
  • You’re a polyglot with good knowledge of the programming languages Go and Python
  • You have a cloud agnostic mentality
  • You have in-depth knowledge of AWS
  • You have previous experience in Linux administration (Container Linux, or any Linux in general)
  • You’ve experience with Immutable infrastructure
  • You have strong knowledge of Linux containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), as well as the Hashicorp stack
  • You have previously built and maintained Kafka clusters (mirroring Kafka across multiple datacentres)
  • Have good knowledge of Information Security
  • Hold the ability to troubleshoot and tune performance of computer systems
