An established online genealogy service, which also has an extensive archive of British newspapers dating back to the early 1900s, is looking to bring on several Senior Engineers to join and work within their newly built engineering teams.
They’ve invested in engineering extensively as they look to scale up their platform even more. With millions of users around the globe and billions of online records, their mission is to connect people to their familial and historical stories.
You’ll be supporting this expansion by joining one of their squads and helping to build out innovative and fully performative software, using the best practice coding standards.
The engineering team has several values that they hold close to their hearts, among them being collaboration (through paired programming and other means), quality (testing all code), long-term vision, owning what they build, and deploying multiple times a day.
There’s a chance to architect software whilst they’re also looking for candidates who have a strong sense of software design, by displaying a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
What does their stack look like?
They work on AWS so prior experience here would be really beneficial. Other parts of their platform are built in C# and Elixir, though unless you want to it’s unlikely you’ll be touching these.
