Research Director


We are working with a growing Fintech investments platform who are focused on making the public markets more accessible to the everyday person.

The client

They are an award-winning FCA-regulated digital platform that connects individual investors with publicly listed companies raising capital. The company believe the public have been missing out of share offers for years as until recently as only institutional investors could access IPO’s and they are leading the way in changing this. So far, they have completed over 200 transactions for high-profile FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies in the U.K. 

In October 2020 they completed $50m in Series-B fundraising from leading global investors and are expanding internationally. They also have commercial agreements in place with London Stock Exchange and Euronext, the leading pan-European stock exchange in the Eurozone with presence in over nine geographies.

The role

The company are looking for someone with previous experienced in management/leadership, who will be responsible for setting the vision pf User Research. 

Some key areas you will be focused on below:

  • Leading a team of UX Researchers at all levels and partner with leadership across design, product, engineering and data to collectively drive innovation and business OKR
  • Raise the research bar by maintaining existing and developing new frameworks that allow them to continually improve their knowledge
  • You’ll be responsible for the organisational structure of the team and lead recruitment by developing a hiring framework, running interviews, setting tasks and onboarding new team members
  • Seek out opportunities to challenge, improve and refine our product and design principles
  • Provide quarterly strategy for key areas of focus in Research
  • You’ll have a defined career progression path which enables you to grow as a designer in a way that suits you

  • You’re able to strategise key areas of focus for research, across a complex and diverse product suite
  • You have in depth experience managing research across multiple work-streams and projects
  • You can communicate research findings at all levels and have proven experience of developing sustainable frameworks for delivering insights
  • You have a proven track record of building high quality research teams through the use of hiring frameworks that balance personality and competency
  • You are an empathetic leader who is able to constructively guide and mentor researchers at all levels to achieve success against measured goals
  • You have a portfolio of real world, commercial projects with which you can clearly demonstrate your contributions and successes.

And what can they offer you?

Base salary of up to £120,000 + Bonus + Equity

Remote Working – 2 days a week in London office
