Automotive Sector

Join a heritage brand in the automotive sector as they embark on a large scale digital and CX transformation. You will be involved in projects that will shape the future of their entire industry, not just the business.

The client

Operating in the Automotive sector, this client is currently undergoing a massive organisational shift to become more forward-thinking and innovative with UCD at the heart of everything they are doing. 

They have a newly appointed Head of UX and a large emphasis on Customer Experience, however there is a lot of scope for new team members to help shape the way they do things moving forward. A massive opportunity to not only build some awesome products, but have a real impact on the business in the process. 

They currently have over 15 million members and have kicked off a large discovery phase to really dig into what these customers need and want, so there will be an abundance of data and research to support your design decisions. 

They are currently looking to add 4 new Product Designers to their existing team of 15 (2 Leads, 13 Designers of varying levels). The team sit in cross functional squads spread across three key streams, each stream has three squads within them. 

The role

As a Product Designer you will sit as part of a dedicated Product Squad consisting of BA’s, Designers, Product Owners, Devs and Testers. Depending on which squad you join, you will have a focus on either their mobile app, web platforms or any number of other internal tools used to improve the overall customer experience. The product portfolio and roadmap is huge. 

Your role will involve but not be limited to:

  • Designing new features for various touch points across the entire customer journey. 
  • Optimising existing experiences to boost visitor engagement and conversion rates. 
  • Validating your design decisions with actionable data from a range of sources. 
  • Contributing to the style guides and design system.
  • Presenting designs and rationale to senior stakeholders and the wider team.
  • Working closely with developers to deliver your outcomes and ensure the best possible customer experience. .
  • Working through the end-to-end design process. 

The candidate

What you need: 

  • Portfolio of case studies outlining your process on recent project examples. 
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach to design. 
  • Be a story teller, easily able to articulate your ideas to those around you. Including non-designer colleagues and stakeholders. 
  • Confident working with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Able to work across both the UX process and visual design.
  • Experience facilitating design sprints.

The package includes: 

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 
  • Bonus (non-contractual): 10%
