Oracle Developer to work on an initial 6-month contract for a well-known Government Department.

I am currently looking for an Oracle Developer to work on an initial 6-month contract for a well-known Government body.

This role is to work on maintaining a number of applications built with several Oracle products (mainly E-Business Suite), helping the existing team to better understand the core components of the system, improve test coverage, reduce technical debt, make changes to the system with confidence and modernise the codebase and the release process as much as possible.

Essential skills and experience:

  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • Good experience with tools like SQL*Plus, Toad or SQL Developer
  • Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
  • Experience working in Agile product teams

The position will pay £650pd (inside IR35) and there will be a one-stage interview (with a quick turnaround).
