Omnichannel UI Design Manager

Retail/eCommerce Company

Omnichannel UI Design Manager wanted to help a retail giant expand their eCommerce presence through a massive digital transformation.

The client

A household name throughout Great Britain, our client is committed to adapting with the times by means of a massive digital transformation. The pandemic impacted them heavily, as it did all major retailers, but it was left with a reinvigorated commitment to keep their name at the front of families’ minds when they decide where to do their Christmas shopping. It is this progressive and courageous thinking that has allowed them to remain a giant in retail for over 100 years.

As they make the transformation into the digital space, they want to maintain their standards and integrity within the eCommerce realm, staying committed to the customer whilst ensuring fair practises with their competitors by never underselling.

They celebrate diversity and inclusion and continually strive to ensure they are amongst the UK’s most inclusive
businesses, and reflect and connect with the diverse communities that they serve.

The role

Leading a team of UI Designers that are in constant communication and collaboration with design peers and business stakeholders with the objective of influencing all aspects of the customer experience.

Designing high quality, rapid prototypes across digital and physical mediums that
can be tested with business or customer users at pace.

Collaborating closely with Experience Design colleagues, brainstorming
concepts, freehand sketching, low-fi and high-fi prototyping to shape
user-centred design solutions.

Adopting a hypothesis-driven test and learn approach, carefully choosing the
most appropriate research methods to validate your assumptions using a
healthy balance of qualitative and quantitative research.

The candidate

You are a multiskilled, flexible and experienced end-to-end, omnichannel UI Designer, who has a portfolio to prove it.

You can demonstrate working collaboratively to meet customer and business goals from concept to finished product; being meticulous about maintaining quality and design standars.

You see the UI role as one that goes beyond digital design into truly omnichannel,
interaction design.

You have a great eye for detail and are able to communicate clearly and rapidly translate ideas to stakeholders and team
members alike.

We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences. Our team includes parents, the self-taught, the university-educated, and people of a wide variety of nationalities, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Obviously, we’re looking to ensure it’s a solid fit from both sides: we want you to step into a role you love, and we want to offer you a place you’re proud to come to every day for work.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams, and welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply to be part of life at Zebra People. We are committed to a fair and accessible recruitment process for all candidates. We would be happy to meet any accommodation requests during the application or interview process, please just let us know.
