Node Engineer

SaaS interaction platform

Based in Farringdon, though happy to offer remote working, a SaaS interaction platform are on the lookout for a Node Engineer to join their expanding team.

Genuinely one of the cooler companies we’ve worked with, they’re one of the fasting growing companies in Europe and were listed at #26 on the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.


They’re mission is to create the world’s best interaction platform. They’re a leader in audience interaction technology, working with some of the biggest interactive TV shows and sporting events (think EA Sport, Premier League and… Love Island).


They’d love to talk to people who’ve got a thorough knowledge of designing and deploying high performance backend services – if you’re into doing this without breaking a sweat then this may well be of interest.

The role

What are they looking for?


Naturally, they’d need you to have proven Node.JS backend development experience, ideally combined with a solid understanding of the entire web development process. A working knowledge of AWS deployments would be advantageous. On top of that, the following would be a big bonus:


  • Any exposure to the frontend (they work in ES6 and React primarily).
  • Any experience with modern tools; think GraphQL etc.
  • Hands on experience building and deploying REST APIs.
  • Expertise in using both SQL and noSQL databases.
  • Best practice around code maintenance, continuous integration and testing.

The candidate

What will you be doing?

You’d be building backend data processing pipelines, designing and implementing APIs, integrating internal and 3rd party systems as part of a very agile team, as well as working alongside DevOps team deploying to AWS infrastructure. There’ll also be an aspect of collaborating with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements.

They’re offering a salary of up to £85K (though could go higher for the ideal person) as well as private healthcare, flexible working and a generous holiday allowance.
