The client

Digital agencies come in all shapes and sizes, but few can claim to be a truly customer/user centric product studio focused on building the best, most engaging digital products for their clients. But these guys can.

They are a product and innovation studio with three offices internationally and a roster of top tier clients that include names like Google, Amazon, BBC and RBS. They build products and services across a broad spectrum of touch points that go far beyond just websites, apps and software products. They are pioneering in new tech like AI, Voice, VR and AR too.

Having appointed a new Head of Design for the London office last year, they are growing their design team in order to cope with the increasing amount of work that is coming through the door.

The role

The team are growing one of their key accounts and therefore growing the team. The aim is to bring in two midweight product designers (One with a strong UX skill set and one with strong UI to mirror each other). During your time here, the team will help to develop your skills to become a fully fledged hybrid designer.

This role will see you working as part of a cross-functional, collaborative product team consisting of a Lead Product Designer, two Midweights, a Researcher, a Product Manager and developers.

You will have the chance to work with some of the largest tech businesses in the world, lead the way in new tech and help to build this agencies reputation as one of the best in London.

Ultimately, you will be involved in some incredible projects right from the word go, taking them from early discovery right through to delivery, analysis and iteration.

A few years here and you’ll have a portfolio that could take you anywhere you want to go.

The candidate

The team knows that a ‘Product Designer’ comes in all shapes and sizes, but the fundamentals of what you need are:

  • Proven experience as a digital product designer with a portfolio to showcase this.
  • Be an advocate of a hypothesis-driven, iterative product design process.
  • Strong UI and Digital Design craft skills.
  • Experience and ability to collaborate well with the wider team throughout the problem-solving process.
  • Detail-focused craftsperson who sets a high bar for quality in their designs.
  • You seek out insights and deliver designs combining new and existing components of a design system, flow or service.
  • You deliver solutions with consistent regard to the user insight, IA, user flow and design guidelines.
  • Comfortable presenting and articulating your designs to the team and wider stakeholders.
