Lead UI Developer


Please note this company also has roles for mid-senior level frontend developers. This fintech company are looking for a Lead Frontend Dev (React/Redux) to join and lead their 6-person frontend team.

The client

The company provide a solution to accountability and transparency in investments. Data is aggregated at the most granular level from source, which is then validated and enables users to distribute proprietary information throughout the investment management supply chain.

The idea of the platform is to give the investors the information and tools needed to evaluate investments and enable managers/service providers to differentiate their services and demonstrate their value.

The role

This will be a hands-on leadership role, steering the direction of the 6 person UI team, as well as communicating and negotiating with the business as a whole on everything from technical decisions to core business needs. You’ll need a really strong understanding of what they are doing and why, so a background in Fintech would be beneficial. It’s probably not the “sexiest” UI development you will have seen, but the technologies are fresh and challenges great. There will be a lot of data visualisation, dashboards and reporting suites for real time data.

The current UI team have extensive development capabilities but lack leadership within the group, so you’ll be tasked with bringing the team together to work more closely and in line with the business goals.

The candidate

The core characteristics they’re looking for are a strong minded individual with extremely strong technical and nontechnical communication skills, who is willing to offer input and value across the business as a whole, on top of the technical decisions required. As previously mentioned, experience and understanding of the financial services industry would benefit your application massively.

Their tech stack includes: React, React-Router, Redux, Redux-Saga, Typescript, Webpack, Babel, Jest, Enzyme, Storybook, TSLint, Prettier.

All you’ll need to get started is strong experience in JavaScript, React and in-depth knowledge of the JavaScript Ecosystem.
