Lead Frontend Developer

A global fashion search platform based in the heart of Shoreditch are looking to bring on a Lead Frontend Developer to head up their new team.

The client

They work in small, self-managing, autonomous teams on customer focused projects, a structure that allows developers from all disciplines to deliver the end needs of the customer.

You’ll be ensuring that the platform continues to exceed customer’s expectations as well as helping it to constantly evolve by improving functionality and releasing new features. You’ll do this by working closely with other engineers, product managers and designers, as well as consulting regularly with stakeholders.

On a technical level they’re planning some major changes to the design and frontend architecture. As a Lead Developer you’ll be at the heart of this, recommending and implementing changes to the tech stack. They are open to talking to developers with experience with any framework, be that React, Angular or Vue.

The role

You’ll have:

  • Experience working in Vanilla JavaScript, as well as some frameworks to go with this.
  • Prior experience with HTML and CSS, ideally with Less.
  • Mobile web experience – this is important to them in terms of both functionality and experience.
  • Tooling – at present they’re using Babel, Webpack, ESLint, Mocha and many more. However, they’re always evaluating and are open to suggestions on this front.
  • Any experience working with Python would be a bonus, as this is what they use on the backend.
