Interaction Designer

Government Department

This department deal primarily with providing services for vulnerable people and there is massive scope for your work to make a real change. You'll be embedded within a cross-functional team, carrying out lots of interesting work to solve real world problems aswell as improving internal Government services.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve Government services in a role that offers a great work-to-life balance and the chance to work from home 1 day a week. On-boarding usually takes about 3 weeks so they are happy to consider those that are currently in a contract, or permanent designers who are interested in going freelance.

This role will involve:

  • Understanding the needs of the users and tracking various interactions across departmental and organisational boundaries
  • Capturing and presenting end-to-end user journeys in a clear and engaging way
  • Creating and rapidly iterating digital service prototypes
  • Working with user researchers and front-end developers to turn concepts into user-centred services

It is key for this role that you are able to prototype in HTML.
