Frontend Developer (Contract) - Central London - £500/day

The automotive industry has an obligation to keep up to date with all of the latest technologies and design trends, and this doesn’t stop at the showrooms!

If you crave for the opportunity to work on eccentric design focussed projects, which promise variety in an ever changing and cutting-edge industry, this one might just peak your interest…

Oh, and you want to work from home for a day or two a week? No problem!

This is a full-service digital agency with over 10 years’ experience in providing complete design/development solutions to a long list of major motoring groups, dealerships and car supermarkets. Their tech team currently sits at 12, split into frontend, backend and design, who all work out of their innovative open plan office in the heart of London.

You’ll be helping reconstruct the full frontend of an impressive platform into a Micro Frontend in order to improve the modular structure, flexibility and scalability of the platform. Having small independent services work together for a large complex application will allow them to implement new technologies such as React/Redux (which you’ll be helping implement) and keep up with the trends of the dev market.

Flexibility – They put a lot of trust into all of their employees and are very keen on promoting a healthy work/life balance, which is why they offer flexible working hours as well as the opportunity to work from home.

With the variety of projects that they work on, as you can imagine they use a lot of different tech. Below is a list of technologies that they have used recently, so if you are skilled in a handful of these (must include React/Redux), then they’ll likely be interested in having a chat:

  • ReactJS, Redux and NodeJS
  • JavaScript / HTML / CSS
  • HTML5, LESS and SASS
  • Automated JS testing using Karma, Jasmine, Qunit, Mocha, Chai
  • Continuous Integrations and Delivery (Teamcity / OctopusDeploy / Jenkins)
  • Versioning systems such Git / SVN
  • Azure/AWS
  • TDD, XP and Agile practices
