Frontend Developer

Remote role with cyber security start-up

My client is developing cybersecurity products that bring together their own hardware, firmware and software to provide an unrivalled combination of security, usability and performance.

The client

They’re looking to bring on a frontend developer to join their fast-growing team on a remote basis, though you’ll have to be London based (or nearby).

You’ll be developing, integrating and supporting the web-based components of the overall solution and transforming their frontend development capability.

What will you be doing?

Although it is a frontend position there is still some variation to the position. As well as developing frontend functionality you’ll be contributing to the scoping and design of new software and supporting planning and estimating.

You’ll also be identifying and investigating defects in the systems and developing bug fixes, plus corresponding enhancements to the product. It will be down to you to improve code maintainability and supportability through code refactoring, peer review and other means.

They’re really big on using the latest tech so are open to you investigating new technologies. It is a challenging, supportive and fast moving working environment with the opportunity to learn about different technologies.

The role

What do you need?

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience working in React. This can be a couple of months or a couple of years, the most important thing is the capability to pick up new technologies.

You will have worked in JavaScript, HTML and CSS before and any JavaScript frameworks would be a bonus, particularly Angular. They work with Python on the backend so any experience with that would be great, though not essential.

If you are a real team player then this is a great fit, they love people that can work together and are good communicators.
