Digital Designer (Brand)

PrimaryBid - FinTech

We have partnered with PrimaryBid to build out their In-house creative and design team including the addition of a Digital Designer (Brand).

You’ll have the opportunity to produce content for both their own brand and partner businesses such as Deliveroo. Being at an early stage there is tons of room for rapid progression, creative freedom and ownership over your work.

The client

PrimaryBid is an award-winning FCA regulated digital platform connecting individual investors with publicly listed companies raising capital. They have has completed over 130 transactions including for high profile FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies in the U.K., most recently running the Community and Customer offer components for the IPOs of Deliveroo, Parsley Box, PensionBee and Cellular Goods with it’s new digital IPO product.

In October 2020 they completed a $50m Series-B fundraising from leading global investors and is already expanding internationally and following some huge successes this year Series C is just around the corner. They have commercial agreements in place with the London Stock Exchange and Euronext, the leading pan European stock exchange in the Eurozone with presence in over nine geographies.

Also worth noting that PrimaryBid is the platinum partner for UK Fintech Week 2021, and was previously part of Tech Nation’s Fintech growth programme (delivered as part of HM Treasury’s  Fintech strategy) and graduated from the prestigious Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab accelerator at the top of the 2018 cohort.

The role

PrimaryBid are currently building out their own in-house Creative Studio under their Head of Design with the expectation that the Creative team will be 5-10 people in the next year, sitting as part of the wider centralised design team that also looks after Product.

As a Digital Designer (Brand) you will be working on a wide range of projects spanning large campaigns, social posts, presentation work and helping to establish the brand guidelines and tone of voice. These projects will be for the PrimaryBid brand itself and their partners. So will you get the opportunity to work closely with brands like Deliveroo, PensionBee and Cellular Goods to name a few.

Being the first Digital Designer (Brand) in the team you will have real ownership over the work that you produce but taking direction from the Head of Design. The PrimaryBid team are firm believers in domain experts which means you will have the scope to advise them on best practice and trends in the creative and design space in order to take your work in new directions.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Interpret and implement the creative vision across a broad range of projects ranging across all digital platforms.
  • Develop and refine the PrimaryBid visual language and brand guidelines.
  • Create assets for email newsletters, paid digital campaigns, website content and more.
  • Explore how the brand identity can be applied to a range of media touchpoints.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider creative team to execute against creative briefs.
  • Collaborate with external agencies on the implementation of brand strategy.

The candidate

What you need:

  • Demonstrable experience (Through a portfolio) of producing brand content across a wide variety of digital touch points.
  • Proficiency in the full creative cloud i.e. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles (Layout, typography, colour theory etc.)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working for an in-house team (Though not essential)
  • An underlying interest in FinTech / Investing. (Again, not essential)
