Senior Digital Business Analyst

Government Department (Inside IR35)

Digital Business Analyst required for a part of a digital transformation programme within a large government service. Initial term 6 Months with extensions likely.  

  • 6 month initial term – extensions likely.
  • Up to £500 a day, inside IR35.

Due to NDA’s we can not disclose specific information around the project but the work you will do will have a huge impact on over 70,000 staff who require the tools and services for their everyday job.

As a Senior Business Analyst you will be joining a cross-functional team working in a complex environment. You will need curiosity and drive to dig into the detail of operational practices and be able to quickly learn and assimilate information about the domain. You will need to have experience:

  • working with senior stakeholders to understand the business needs, business drivers and constraints 
  • capturing and documenting complex processes, liaising with policy leads, service design teams and other business stakeholders
  • collaborating within a multidisciplinary Agile team
  • working with the Product Manager to prioritise the backlog
  • refining user stories and creating acceptance criteria, liaising with the business stakeholders and product team members
  • using data sources and information from stakeholders to identify and quantify the benefits of the digital service
  • devising performance metrics for the service and ensuring these meet the needs of the stakeholders

Previous experience working in a Government, Government linked, or highly regulated organisation will be a huge benefit.

The team is currently working remotely and so the contract will begin remotely too. However, the office location is in Sheffield so you will need to be prepared to travel into Sheffield for part of the week (up to three days) at a future date when the team returns to the office.

There may also be occasional visits to sites across the country (travel expenses would be paid for these).
