Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of large and complex client engagements.

The client

Fantastic digital agency who specialise in user experience and user centered design. They are seeking a Digital Delivery Manager to join their team and work across a portfolio of diverse, global brands. They are a mid sized agency, backed by a global consultancy, who are going from strength to strength, and are extremely well regarded in the industry. The role

As Delivery Manager you will have the opportunity to lead large projects end to end – working closely with a diverse portfolio of brands, spending time based on the client site ensuring smooth delivery, governance and quality.


Set up and define project governance, models of engagement and delivery frameworks
Create and manage complex project plans, milestones, deliverables, budgets and contingencies
Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues
Manage project team members directly and/or provide direction to teams towards one goal
Communicate with the client and other key stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion
Own and develop our relationship with the client – you are the custodian of the agencies brand

Develop new opportunities

Work with the Client Services team to identify, scope and commercialise new opportunities
Work with Strategy, Design Research and Studio Practice teams to develop ideas and visions
Work with the Operations team to embed best practice across the organization


Line manage and provide pastoral support to more junior members of the Delivery team, as required
Support in developing a broader consulting skillset across our Practice teams
Coach Client Services, Practice and Operations teams in thinking differently about project delivery, IT delivery and offshore delivery

The candidate

The ideal candidate will have

  • experience both leading large-scale delivery projects and shaping new opportunities; likely from a management consultancy or large digital agency background.
  • a passion for experience design with sharp business acumen
  • a deep understanding across commerciality, delivery and operations – experience handling large budgets
  • a strong interest in experience design and want to work in a creative, agency environment.
  • experience handling conversations with senior clients as they are managing a plan and debating details with delivery teams.
  • a solid understanding of IT delivery and offshore team management.
  • experience working with cross-functional teams, including design research, creative and technical practitioners, both within the UK and internationally
  • line management experience
  • experience working in an agency environment and in a user experience / experience design / usability environment is preferred
