Data Modeller

Youth Organisation

It’s exciting times for a British Institution who are embarking on a transformation programme to become a digital first organisation.

The client

Their aiming to transform the experience they give with digital tools and services for their volunteers.

As such they’re searching for a meticulous data modeller to join their transformation team. Your central responsibility will be to analyse, design and optimise their data architecture. This will be via data modelling, development of data standards and principles, updating data architectures and overseeing data migrations. It’s an outstanding opportunity for someone with one or two years’ experience to come in and work with several different aspects of data, with the long term plan to grow to a Data Architect.

The role

A few things you’ll be working with include:

·         SQL – handling large datasets and relational databases.

·         PowerBI – you’ll be demonstrating visualisation of data.

·         DBA – bonus points for this one as not essential you’ve worked with beforehand.

They’re open to people from a data analysis, architecture or modelling background. So long as the will to learn is there they’d be happy to talk. Ideally you’ll have some knowledge of database structures and systems as well as an ability to decipher and organise large amounts of data.

There’ll be an opportunity to oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions, as well as educate users in Data Quality Management through training and support. You’d also be helping to develop reports and analysis as well as supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.

Bonus points for certifications such as ITIL and TOGAF!
