Media Brand

This global media brand is now looking for a freelance Content Designer to join their team, working across their commerce portfolio.

Attracting over 1 billion consumers across print, digital and video, this brand is responsible for some of the most iconic magazine titles, and they operate in over 32 countries worldwide


The role:

As Content Designer/UX Writer for this brand, you’ll be designing the voice of it’s commerce brands across web and mobile.

You’ll be guiding readers through the online offerings – anything from beauty product reviews to travel booking sites. You’ll be marrying strategy, best practise, and user needs in order to ensure that the reader and the brand’s content are at the heart of the experience.

You’ll be working collaboratively alongside the UX Writing Lead, designers, PMs, engineers and researchers, whilst also working with international colleagues across the globe. Driving engagement and loyalty, whilst providing increased and new revenue streams are key to the mission here.


Ideal experience:

Previous experience with e-commerce would be ideal but isn’t essential. What is key is that you’ve got strong experience working in an Agile environment, alongside Product Designers. Collaborative working is key to this role!

  • Relevant experience in user-focused writing across web and mobile
  • Work examples that show off your gift for simplifying and improving digital products
  • You’re able to collaborate with stakeholders of all levels
  • You have a demonstrable empathy for your users, able to write from a range of voices
  • You’re a self-starter, fast-paced environments don’t phase you and you’re easily able to juggle multiple projects


Duration:             3 months+

Day rate:             £450 (outside IR35)

WFH policy:        Currently fully remote, but eventually 1 day in office (but open to fully remote)
