Working 100% remote, this company was founded in 2017 with the goal of building a network of decentralized infrastructure of censorship resistant hardware and software.

The client

They want people to run nodes and own their own access to Web3, as well as helping the networks to become more resilient and decentralized.

In the past year they’ve grown spectacularly in usage by becoming the easiest way to run an Eth2 validator and decentralize validation power out of staking pools and exchanges. With the product you can now run dozens of DApps directly, including Avalanche validators, Bitcoin and other chains and decentralized storage like Swarm and IPFS nodes, as well as many others.

Anyone can create a package with their SDK to offer their application in a decentralized way and leveraging all the services included locally in the product!

The role

To align with their initiatives, they are looking for someone who is intrinsically motivated, loves and understands the web3 space and are whole-heartedly passionate about their mission to transform decentralized ecosystem infrastructure. Their focus in the next year is to build on the product and their experience with in Eth2 to expand horizontally and help decentralize other networks, and vertically to offer more flexible options for Eth2 staking.

Their goal is to use technologies like Secret Shared Validators (Shamir Secret Sharing), and leverage the economy of our their token to create web3-native products that strengthen the resilience and decentralization of the network while providing value to each of their Node Runners.

They now need a highly skilled Project/Engineering Manager to create, collaborate, and customize the technical evolution of the product, as they shape the future infrastructure of the decentralized world. This is a strategic role – you’ll have a significant impact on shaping the team and product and will keep the company momentum moving upwards. They’re looking for a proactive, experienced manager and a natural leader. A true believer and super excited person about the endless opportunities inherent in blockchain technology.

You will have a strong background in technology and blockchain. In the role you will be working together, collaborating with the funders to plan, shape, and implement the project road map and with their devs in defining the delivery approach, processes, and production support standards. In addition, you will manage the project deliverables, design the product strategy and drive the growth of both the team and company. The candidate

What will you do:

  • Lead projects end to end – from design to delivery, including team management.
  • Define project objectives, project scope, project methodologies, roles & responsibilities. Create our working plans, sprints, processes and schedules.
  • Hands-on management of multi-discipline engineering projects across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Outline a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver the project in time and on budget.
  • Manage a diverse range of stakeholder needs and requirements to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Ensure high performance and quality deliveries by setting working standards
  • Manage a technical team – conduct performance processes, provide advice and consultation on personal and technical issues.
  • Manage and push forward the operations of the business
  • Establish and maintain good lines of communication across the team.

 

Required experience and skills:

  • This position requires superb organizational skills for the day-to-day task, ability to balance and priorities.

  • Curiosity, Curiosity, Curiosity. Blockchain is evolving every day. You need to keep up to date with the technology. You must be a fast learner.
  • Experienced manager with full stack / Devops background who has led a number of projects in different companies.
  • Hands-on experience working with – Typescript, Docker, Solidity, basics of cryptography.
  • Deep understanding of Ethereum and Eth2 staking
  • Deep understanding of startups and blockchain environments.
  • A people person – You are pleasant, sensitive, patient and empathic. Open and receptive to criticism and able to give constructive feedback. Listening to different opinions and advising people is your second nature. You are honest and easy to approach and talk to.
  • You see your job as leading by example and growing people. Provide your team members opportunities to flourish.
  • An expert communicator – you are a clear, confident, strong negotiator who has diplomacy skills that will help you guide, persuade, influence and convince others and make them believe the impossible is in the reach of their hands.

  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
