Senior-Lead UX Designer or UX Director

UX & Service Design agency

This is a great opportunity to work with a boutique agency with big name clients, specialising in UX and Service Design (without necessarily requiring previous Service Design experience). It could also be a chance for someone at Lead level to step up into Experience Director level.

The client

An established and mature digital experience design agency that has Design, UX and Service Design at the heart of what they do.

They have a very close-knit team of strategists, service designers, user experience experts and communicators who collaborate with global brands and start-ups across sectors to create innovative, future-ready experiences, which connect people to services across all digital channels.

The role

The role is a great opportunity to get involved in Service Design projects as well as UX ones, even if you don’t have existing Service Design experience (although any would be a bonus). You will play a hugely important part in their team and further growth of the business.

You will work primarily with other UX designers, UI designers and Service Designers as well as building strong relationships with the agency’s clients to help drive innovative solutions forward through exceptional design and problem solving. In turn, generating transformational value by looking at the whole service to unearth market, people and technology insights to create digital experiences that mix hard commercial reality, people-focused insights and technical opportunities.

They’re looking for a confident Senior Experience Designer / Director to create smart, desirable and measurable experiences across the entire (digital) service and platforms – working with ambitious start ups to entrepreneurial global companies across sectors – Technology, Telecoms, Travel & Transportation, Retail, Hospitality, Fin-Tech and Publishing.

You’ll either be a Senior/Lead UX Designer who’s ready to step-up into your first Director level role.


An Experience Director with some experience (extensive not required as the agency has a Head of UX & Design also).



The candidate

  • Senior/lead experience designer with leadership capability or experience
  • Support planning / Facilitating workshops
  • Hands on UX design deliverables (UI is a bonus! Same goes for any Service Design experience)
  • Support the creation of strategic deliverables and presentations
  • Support experience assessment, conduct user research, usability testing, customer journey mapping, business process mapping, trend, market and technology analysis and content audits
  • Collaborate with the team to transform opportunities into experience visions, roadmaps, digital strategies and service blueprints
  • Capable to present and sell in experience process and solutions internally and externally, from supporting pitches to project presentations
