Senior User Researcher - Remote Flexibility

I'm working with a marketplace client (who you are very likely to have heard of) looking to hire a new Senior User Researcher to join an already impressive UX team of around 30.

The client

*note* This role has a London based office but the company are becoming more flexible as to how remotely their candidate would like to work. However, you must be based within the UK and happy to travel to the London office on occasion.

The role

You’d report to a Senior User Research Manager who in turn would report to an Experience Director.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Applying learnings from individual research projects at a wider level​
  • Raising the profile of UX research internally and externally​
  • Exploring new and innovative research techniques and inspiring the wider team to think innovatively​
  • Contributing to shared team goals
  • Leading workshops and training to help embed UX research and best practices into the company culture​
  • Uncovering insights that positively impact product, design and wider business decisions​
  • Supporting the business to see the value of UX research, through clear, powerful reporting​
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver a complete package of user insight​
  • A role model and mentor to the junior team

The candidate

 

  • Experience with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods

This may include:

-usability testing

-contextual interviews

-guerrilla research

-remote testing

-focus groups

  • Ability to identify best methods to answer UX research questions, prioritising and adapting to meet time and opportunity constraints​
  • Managing end-to-end research activities with minimal managerial support – planning, execution, analysis and insight delivery​
  • Ideally, experience working across multiple platforms and devices – desktop, laptop, mobile (including app)​
