Learn how to conduct User Research in fast-paced teams from sprint zero
10:30am – 3:30pm
Moreover, the market and consumers expect more and more from their digital products everyday with no sign of slowing down. As such, digital teams, especially development, have had to adopt the ‘Agile’ way of thinking to keep up with this increasing demand. Slowly, even the designers adapted to this faster approach, creating features and iterations in 2-week design sprints. However, creating Prototypes and Wireframes in 2 weeks is naturally easier than trying to understand a User’s behaviour and psyche in 2 weeks. As such, there’s been a huge shift in how we plan and conduct user research and gather user feedback. Despite this, there has yet to be any adequate training or knowledge transfer to up-and-coming User Researchers keen to learn how to add value in these types of environments.
During this workshop, Catherine Fox will help you to adapt to these types of environments and give you the knowledge and processes to truly thrive!
Catherine is a User Experience Researcher with over 12 years’ experience in digital and over 7 years’ experience of conducting User Research for both product and service delivery in Agile environments.

Very intense, content rich course. The information was layered well and presented in good bite size chunks. The group was the optimum size and there was an open feel to where attendees could interject and discuss problems and solutions. I would strongly recommend this course.
The day was great fun. I learnt a lot from Eva-Lotta and was inspired; it gives you the confidence to pick up a pen and illustrate a design concept rather than just discuss the concept. I now carry a sketch book with me and have started taking sketchnotes, which is actually a very useful way of focusing the mind onto the important parts of the meeting/discussion, rather than just making linear notes. Great course.

Set just off of Silicon Roundabout, Zebra Labs will be taking place in We Work Old Street
We Work Old Street is home to entrepreneurs working on early-stage ideas and established businesses, it offers a creative and collaborative environment which we thought would be a great place to hold our Labs. Taking place in one of the largest meeting rooms, it offers a good space to learn whilst giving the attendees the ability to break out into separate collaborative break out areas throughout. Free Tea and Coffee will be able throughout the day and you will have access to a vast array of local eateries for lunch.
