Senior UI/Visual Designer (Mobile Apps) - London

We’ve all been there, you spend hours preparing yourself for a big night out or even a holiday and then fallen at the last hurdle….where did you leave your ID? It can be a real show stopper…for all of about 30 minutes until you find it.

But, imagine not being able to open a bank account, take out a mortgage or access lifesaving medical care because you can't prove who you are.

Right now, more than a billion people around the world are unable to access essential services because they don't have any form of identification. This could be your chance to help fix that.

The client

This tech start-up are on a mission to become the leading digital identification platform and are finding innovative and secure ways for users to share personal information. They are building products that have never been attempted before and are directly targeting the £billions in fraud that occur every year.

Every product is built in-house from the ground up to ensure its security and are also purpose built so that even they cannot access the data stored within them. They currently have 10 unique applications for their core product and this list is constantly growing as they tackle new areas of the market.

The role

Joining one of 3 cross-functional product teams consisting of a Product Owner, UX Designers, UX Researchers, UI Designers and Brand Designers (Total headcount around 20 people right now) you will have the opportunity to work across any one of their 10 products for Web, Mobile and other digital touch points.

Initially, you will join the team that is responsible for their core mobile app product. The key product that every user comes in contact with in order to use their service. You will work closely with the rest of the team to develop beautiful experience on mobile as well as contribute to the development of their design system that will work across all of their products.

Key responsibilities of a UI Designer:

  • Product beautiful and clean user interface designs for each of their products.
  • Be a leading voice for mobile UI design trends.
  • Work closely with the brand team to contribute to the evolution of the brand and visual identity.
  • Contribute to the development of the design system and component library.
  • Work closely with a UX Designer and the wider team to influence your designs.

The candidate

What you should have:

  • A portfolio of clean product UI work.
  • Demonstrate experience and a level of expertise designing for native mobile apps.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and current UI design trends.
