The role

Following the appointment of a new CPO who recently unveiled a new strategy and roadmap, they are looking to appoint a Head of UX and Design to manage, lead and build an established UX and Design team that will help to push the boundaries of the product. With an established User Research team in place, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of 10 UX and UI Designers whilst championing user centered principles, UX and visual design throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and grow a best in class UX & Design team.
  • Contribute to wider product strategy decisions from a UX & Design perspective.
  • Implement design processes and best practices across the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with other business functions.
  • Conduct trend, market and competitor analysis to influence the vision for the product.
  • Constantly drive for improvement in both the product and team/organisational processes.
  • Develop the design language to be used across the product and other touch points.

The candidate

  • Previous experience as a Head of UX & Design is ideal however you could be a Lead UX or Product Designer who is ready to step up to a Head of.
  • Proven track record of building best in class digital products.
  • Proven experience as a team leader, mentor or manager is essential.
  • Ability to work with and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Experience working within an agile environment.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Experience working within a FinTech business.
  • Working within a rapidly growing and successful start-up.
  • Involved in the industry either speaking at events or running external workshops.
