VP of product for Fin-Tech company in London – £100,000-£130,000

My client is a really exciting and rapidly growing start-up, an e-commerce crowdfunded marketplace. Based out of the Central London they are now seeking a VP Product to lead their growing Product function.

The Client

Our client is a crowdfunding property start-up that has been growing substantially since it’s launch just under 18 months ago. The company have recently received investment of  ~£15m, putting them in a strong position to grow the design team.

The Role as VP of product

Working closely with the CEO, COO and CTO to develop and execute the product strategy. The successful candidate will need to have the vision to take both our business goals and core company values, clearly understand what is best in class/ best practice in the wider e-commerce space, have a keen eye for innovation (as and when is appropriate) and then marry all these inputs into a compelling, simple and market leading customer proposition.

The product needs to provide relevant and engaging experiences to a wide base of investors and savers. The mass market customer needs to be presented with a proposition that is simple, easy to understand and interact with. The sophisticated investor must also be served all the essential data and financial information required to make their informed investment decisions.

The Candidate


The successful candidate will need to be determined, dedicated, adaptable and demonstrate a willingness to constantly learn and drive change with specific experience in the following areas –

Experience in delivering world-class products that serve the needs of a wide customer base at international scale with extensive experience across all channels, data and relevance/ personalisation. The successful candidate will be expected to quickly transition to a super user of both our product as well as all the market leading businesses across the breadth of e-commerce and marketplace space.

Excellent stake holder management and communication skills. Open minded, engaging and mission driven leader able to integrate different functional groups to form a consensus for core aims and delivery expectations. Highly visible personal integrity, credibility and influencing skills with significant prior career achievement and track record as a leader.

Proven track record in managing roadmap and delivering at pace with discipline at an International scale. Demonstrable success in taking ideas and concepts through a reliable planning/process framework to build experiences and features that resonate with both first time and experienced users of our product whilst delivering on our key commercial goals.

Extensive analytical skills with the ability to uncover, detail, visualise and solve fundamental challenges in a logical manner. Deep personal expertise in data analysis, data management and metric/scorecard development. Ability to drive a data driven decision making culture for both your teams and the wider business.

Salary commensurate with your experience including a very competitive share offering.
