Within the last two years, experts from the biggest consumer giants have joined up with my client to drive innovation as they begin exciting journey to build new features and products within the property sector. The Design team are in place to increase their already substantial user engagement and deliver slick UI that will make anyone want to come back for more.
This is a chance to work for a reputable property data site which has over 50 million users a month using their sites and products. The brand’s success is owed to their utilisation of honest UX, as well as their focus on clear and concise data which validates them as industry property experts. This information fuels their design decisions, and ultimately will shape our client’s exciting future projects in the years to come.
As well as being a recognisable ‘go-to’ brand they are also partnering with some of the best start-ups in the property and data sector and driving a new vision of products which will aim to give users more control and insight to make educated decisions about investing in property.
The Role as UI Designer
It’s an exciting time for our client, as they are in the starting stages of a 3/5-year vision for the company. You will be working in a collaborative and flat structured team of UX designers, project managers, developers and marketers to deliver a 5-star product.
As the UI designer, you will be responsible for the look and feel for all the products across all platforms such as mobile and desktop. Each day the priority will be focussed on making ordinary design ‘AWESOME’ and also making insightful data ‘Interesting’. A big part of the role is innovating – there is a number of unchartered territories within the sector which will be uncovered and exposed for the first time, this content will need to be reimagined from the ground up and visualised into something meaningful and useful.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive, get up and go attitude, and will always be able to offer a fresh solution to a challenging problem. You will be a craftsperson and someone who has invested interest to learn new skills – You will be comfortable working on multiple projects on multiple devices with multiple teams (UX and development).
As well as awesome multi-tasking skills, what else will you need to have?
- A portfolio demonstrating your designs accompanied with annotated notes to show your design thinking and processes behind each project.
- Expertise in Photoshop/Illustrator/Sketch.
- Passion about design and ear to the ground of new design trends and technology.
- Prototyping skills (Invision, Marvel, Sketch)
- Motion Design skills would be a bonus.
