My client is a highly product led, tech infused, eCommerce marketplace with a big emphasis on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are now looking to hire a Lead UX Designer.
The brand: Imagine designing a product for a loved one who just got married but instead of starting from scratch, the tools you use automatically detect the image as a wedding photo and then provides you with the most tailored, vibrant and pre-made designs possible perfect for that once in a lifetime wedding present. Or what if you’re a regular user that loves gifting your significant other with personalised items. Machine learning is so innovative here that it will allow the tools you use to recognise individuals and provide you with designs and products that are similar to those you have used in the past for that particular individual.
All of this done through their online Studio Platform.
The Role as Lead UX Designer - Machine Learning, AI - £60,000-£80,000
The Role & Team: Reporting into the Head of UX, a Lead UX Designer is now needed to be responsible for pushing the innovation on Machine Learning and AI but to also plan and iterate on the overall User Journey of their innovative and award winning studio platform so that Users can reach their end goals in an intuitive and logical way. This role is also sitting with one of their Product teams consisting of UX Designers, UI Designer, BA’s, Product Managers and more!
Role Responsibilities: Some of the role responsibilities include solving design problems from a highly logic based foundation. You’ll also ensure good UX principles are adhered to and you will do this by mentoring less senior members of the team. You will also identify user needs and develop ideas with the product team and stakeholders. You will also validate ideas/concepts with their users by creating interactive Prototypes and Wireframes. Other responsibilities will include supporting the Head of UX in the overall vision and further advancements such as Machine Learning and AI.
Main Requirements: Main requirements include 4-5 years of experience within a UX role and 1-2 years in a Senior or Lead position. Experience of Web AND Mobile is a must with a relevant portfolio showcasing case studies and additional work. You should also have experience of coaching and/or mentoring less senior individuals. Experience in eCommerce is beneficial but not essential.
