Lead UX Designer required for an innovative social networking app who is looking to revolutionise the way we communicate through social media.

The Client

My client is an exciting innovative start-up who is looking to disrupt the traditional social media communication tool through their unique interactive messaging communication platform.

Based in incredibly slick offices in the heart of London they’ve gone from strength to strength and are already 80 people strong. UX and Product is at the heart of everything they do, current teams are split into development, commercial and product with product being at the core of everything they do. You will report into the head of UX working alongside 4 UX Designers, 2 Researchers, 4 UI, copywriters and illustrators.

The Role as Lead UX Designer

As senior, lead UX designer your role will be to manage, mentor and deliver a seamless and slick UX experience across my clients social networking product and actively take it to market across a range of cross platform solutions from IOS and Android to tablet and desktop. The app is set to be delivered across a global market so certain challenges you might come across will be designing UX for different cultures and languages.

Working in a very collaborative manor you will work on a range of projects from designing UX for IOS apps to actively solving problems such as improving the retention rate of improving the churn rate etc.

This is an app initially aimed at a younger target audience so it’s important you can design UX solutions with a fun, vibrant and slick UX design with a flowing UX process. This in an extremely forward thinking company so you will be designing the UX for some of the most ground breaking products out there.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced hands on Senior or Lead UX Designer whose happy mentoring and leading a team. Previous experience working within a start up environment and actually developing a product and taking it to a global market will be really useful.

Good grounding in mobile UX and designing responsive solutions is important. You need to be a good problem solver who can back up their UX decisions and have the ability to design UX for a fun slick product aimed at the younger generation.
